Wiscasset & Alna

• Red’s Eats (Wiscasset) - You can’t miss this famous lobster shack right on Route 1 in downtown Wiscasset. Be prepared to wait in a long line, but the lobster roll is worth the wait. Order onion rings too. It’s takeout only, so grab a picnic table down by the water and enjoy your lunch. Pet friendly.

• The Alna Store (Alna) - Market and restaurant off the beaten path in Alna, Maine outside of Wiscasset. Make reservations in advance for this award-winning restaurant for both brunch and dinner.

Boothbay

• Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens - Explore New England’s largest botanical garden with acres of beautiful plants and miles of trails including along the coast. The paths are stroller friendly and there are plenty of kid-friendly activities throughout the gardens. The best part is finding the 5 wooden carved giant trolls for the perfect photo op!

Boothbay Harbor

• Cabbage Island Clambake - This is a must do experience when in Maine! The boat departs from Boothbay Harbor at pier 6 and treats you to a twin lobster dinner out on Cabbage Island complete with all the sides. Fish chowder to start and blueberry cake for dessert are the perfect adds. Reservations required - this one fills up quick!

• Ferry to Monhegan Island - Travel to a day gone by with a visit to the stunning artist colony that is Monhegan Island. We love hiking the coastal trails and stopping at Monhegan Brewing for lunch.

Bristol

• Pemaquid Point Lighthouse - While not as famed as Portland Head Light, this beauty offers stunning views amongst the rocky coastline. Fun to explore and even bring a picnic lunch. Pet friendly.

Damariscotta region

• Glidden Point Oysters (Edgecomb, Maine) - Make reservations ahead of time for an oyster farm tour. Then, after the tour, stay to hang out on the patio as you learn to shuck your own oysters and enjoy a drink or two. Pet friendly.

• Shuck Station Raw Bar (Newcastle, Maine) - A lively and fun spot to sling back a few dozen fresh and local Maine oysters. Pet friendly.

• Oxbow Brewery (Newcastle, Maine) - This rural farmhouse brewery is nestled in the woods with gorgeous grounds to explore while you sip the latest on tap. Pet friendly.

Waldoboro

• Odd Alewive’s Farm Brewery - Not sure what is better, the farmhouse style ales or the wood fired pizza. This is an awesome spot to relax at year round (think firepits in the winter). Pet friendly.

• Tops’l Farm - Keep an eye out for their seasonal dinner celebrations, like the Mud Season in Maine dining celebration (reservations required) and their weekend getaway stays in the A-frame cabins. This spot celebrates the best of the seasons in Maine!

South Thomaston

• McLoon’s Lobster Shack - A waterfront lobster shack offering stunning views of the Maine coastline. The lobster roll and clam dip make the perfect lunch while taking in the view. Pet friendly.

Rockland

• Primo - This farm to table gem serves a locally inspired and Maine seafood focused menu that is worth a visit. We loved exploring the grounds before our reservation time. Chef Kelly’s “0 km” philosophy speaks to the idea that everything is sourced locally from their farm.

Camden

• Mount Battie Trail - This short and steep hike is a great workout with views that make it all worth it once you get to the top. It’s beautiful to see Camden Harbor from above!

• The Place - Bakery

Lincolnville

• Cellardoor Winery - Grab a bottle of wine and head into the vineyard to sit amongst the vines. This is a lovely spot to spend an afternoon. Pet friendly.

Northport

• The Hoot - This farm to table eatery is the perfect spot for weekend brunch. We will be dreaming of the omelet and hash for days to come!

Belfast

• Chase’s Daily - A must stop for coffee/tea and pastries! We loved the big cookies and the cream in our coffee was the best we’ve ever tasted.

• Farmer’s Market - Keep an eye out for the Belfast Farmer’s Market. This indoor stall style market is oh so cute and offers a great selection of local farmers, creators, and artisans selling their goods.
